Pause [Short Film]

“Pause” is a short film featuring the poem “Pause” that I wrote and contributed to “The Circus of Grief and Joy,” a live event held at the historic Aria Theater in downtown Minneapolis in May, 2022.

The show featured over a dozen dynamic live circus acts embodying the range of human emotion, interwoven with readings by Dr. Sherry Walling, drawing the sold-out audience into a deep shared experience of witnessing the compelling fullness of the human experience.

The event was envisioned and directed by Dr. Sherry Walling and Lynn Lunny, for the launch of Sherry’s latest book, “Touching Two Worlds,” a brilliant guide to finding hope in the landscape of loss.

“Pause” illustrates how my work can invite presence at the opening of a gathering or event, bring an audience into stillness and reflection, and set a collective intention for a shared group experience.
